In 2014, I visited Marrakech for the first time to meet Loubna and Javier and film their wedding. Since then, Morocco has a special place in my heart and I could easily say that it’s one of my favourite destinations to film weddings. The infinite landscapes of mountains, dunes and deserts, it feels as a place hidden from the civilisation. The timeless architecture, culture and heritage, the contrast in society and people who approach you directly, yet with warmth. It all makes for an amazing adventure and atmosphere, so I was really excited when Priscilla and Brendan, both living in NYC, invited us over to film their destination wedding at Le Palais Paysan, just outside Marrakech. A minimalist, almost cubist hotel that offers a view at the Mount Toubkal and Atlas.
